What is PDRC Technology?
PDRC stands for Passive Daytime Radiative Cooling. It’s a way to keep things cool by reflecting sunlight (the Passive Daytime part) and removing heat directly into space (the Radiative Cooling part). This means surfaces coated with CryoPaint can stay up to 15°F cooler than the air around them without needing electricity. It’s like giving your roof or car a natural air conditioner!
How It Works
CryoPaint works best when it has a clear view of the sky. Use the “YMCA” test to check:

YMCA Y Test: Raise your hands above your head to form a
“Y” shape and look up. If you see clear blue sky between your hands, your PDRC surface should work well. (Remember: 'view of the blue')

Obstructions: If there are clouds, trees, or buildings, the will decrease but still work to some extent.

No Blue? No Cool: If the sky is completely blocked, PDRC technology won’t work effectively.\ (It still works at night!)
How to Apply CryoPaint
Getting Ready
1.
Clean the Surface: Ensure the area is clean and dry. Wipe away any dirt, grease, or debris.
2.
Check the Weather: Apply CryoPaint when the temperature is below 90°F or indoors for the best results.
3.
Avoid Contamination: Keep dust and dirt away from the paint and surface during application.
4.
Ready to Use: Don’t mix or thin CryoPaint. It’s ready to apply straight from the container.
Application Instructions
1.
Measure and Shake: Measure your area (1 oz per sq ft) and shake or stir the paint well for an even mix.
2.
Layers: Apply 1-2 layers for optimal performance, letting each layer dry for at least 15 minutes before adding another.
3.
Hands Off: Don’t touch or disturb the paint once applied. Let it dry undisturbed.
Maintenance Tips

Water Only: Clean the surface with water to maintain its performance. Avoid chemicals or abrasive scrubbing tools.

No Glass or Undersides: CryoPaint won’t work if applied under glass or on the underside of surfaces.
